  Having brunch here was probably the highlight of our whole vacation. The french toast was amazing, not to mention the waiter we had was on point with his timely delivery of our mimosas, we never had to ask! To top it all off, our table was almost touching the sand, you can't ask for a better view to dine to. The part that really sealed the deal for me though was the awesome jazz saxophone player serenading us to Alicia Keys' "No One" while we sipped our mimosas away drifting farther and farther into vacation mode.

  I have grown up eating at the Gulf Drive Cafe, that being said it has changed for the worst. Every time we go our order is wrong and the food is barely tolerable. Don't waste your time on the french toast. The owner is always in the parking lot making sure that customers don't go out to the beach afterwards. It doesn't matter how much money you spend, at this restaurant the customer is always wrong. I won't be going back to the Gulf Drive Cafe anytime soon.

  I loved the food. Absolutely delicious breakfast. The view cannot be beat, just absolutely stunning. However, the service is abominable, specifically our absent server. We were sat and had drinks quickly, but it was downhill from there. We didn't get to place our order for over 20 minutes. We waited an hour for food, without seeing our waitress but twice, at which point I got up and asked another waitress if our food would be coming out soon. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. While I was waiting, the manager asked me if I needed help. He had just arrived, and he got us sorted out right away. The manager (Bo or Beau, not sure how he spelled it) got our food to us, got us more drinks, and got us our check. If not for Bo, we would have left without eating. We arrived around 1030, didn't get our food until past noon. Bo and the server he asked to help us were very kind and so efficient. Without them, this would be a 1 star restaurant. Whats the point of having really great food if no one gets to eat it?
